Benice Atufunwa, Maid of Honor
Benice and I go waaaay back. As in, I have picture of us at my ninth birthday. I'll spare her the embarrassment, let's just say there were over-sized Tweety Bird t-shirts involved. We kicked rocks home from elementary, midde, and high school together and I couldn't have asked for a better road dog. She currently lives in Denver doing freelance writing and is a traveling guru, taking solo trips both domestically and internationally on the regular.
Amelia McDonald, Bridesmaid
Amelia is Omarr's one and only younger sister and soon to be my one and only sister-in-law. An artistically inclined genius she routinely kills it with a paintbrush and just performed in a dance show in NYC she found on instagram, for which she auditioned and made the cut. Like a boss. Amelia is a junior in college, majoring in psychology and will soon unleash her fury on the world.
Simone Ellis, Bridesmaid
Simone and I started from the bottom now we're here. At Yale, we both had aspirations to be doctors. She followed her dream and now she's living it up with an MD in DC, saving babies and preventing worldwide pandemics daily. She lives in Maryland with her wife, Yolanda. In the five minutes/month of spare time she gets from her residency in Family Medicine she's a budding world icon interior designer.
Chinenye Okafor, Bridesmaid
Chinenye and I met before school started at Yale and have been unstoppable ever since. A former Yale Women's Basketball player, she's the fittest person I know with a full time job. When she's not beasting people in the courtroom as a patent lawyer, she's flexing her travel game (St. Lucia, Iceland etc), taking inspired selfies (see Exhibit A above), or making the gym feel bad about itself. She currently lives in Maryland. Also, sewing skills on fleek.

Steve Whittaker, Best Man
Steve was my partner-in-crime during our days as Co-Presidents for the Yale West-Indian Students Org. We've been through way too many shenanigans that I can't remember them all, yet he's always supported me through thick and thin. When Steve's not back and forth from St. Kitts & Nevis, Steve's holding it down in New Haven, pursuing a PhD at the Yale School of Public Health.
Jamarr Lynch, Groomsman
Jamarr's my big cousin, but he might as well have been a big brother. When I first moved to Brooklyn, I still remember wrestling, Sega Genesis, and basketball games on concrete. After he and my aunt moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, Jamarr was the one who taught me how to swim when I came down to visit. Jamarr's currently holding it down in IT for a research, design & technology company, Forte Interactive.
Dimeji Ogunsola, Groomsman
Dimeji is a fellow member of the Justice League. Most of you know what J-League is, so I won't go into any specifics...other than the fact that we threw EPIC parties on Yale's campus. Outside of that, Dimeji's been a brother-in-arms throughout the years since school, from New Haven down to Atlanta. Dimeji's currently in ATL as well, holding it down as a practicing litigation attorney.
Jayson White, Groomsman
Jay is Christina's little brother, and a photographic & videographic mastermind. He takes pride in his craft, though he can be a 'creative snob' at times (I won't go into specifics on which movies he doesn't like...). Nonetheless, the man has skills and can also play a mean game of Halo. All of my proposal pics from Nigeria were his masterwork, and Christina's friend and bridesmaid, Chinenye, hired him to do her Nigerian wedding shots on that trip. Jay was previously holding it down at the NYU Tisch School of Arts, but has since taken his talents to Las Vegas, servicing big-name properties on the Strip.
Corlan McDonald, Groomsman
My little cousin Cory is a fellow offspring of the McDonald twins, Devon (my dad) and Donald (his dad). Cory is a big soccer aficionado, and finds himself traversing the European continent so much, you'd think he was signed to the Premier League. When Cory's not busy playing goalkeeper and speaking German, he is holding it down in Orlando, FL as a Software Engineer for Lockheed Martin.
